UnderGround Music fest is happening THIS WEEKEND! Keep the spirit of UMS alive and give back to the music industry. Don’t miss their live sets broadcasted from Broadway venues, music video premieres, a retro telethon, prize giveaways, and party supplies. This is not going to be just another live stream. Here’s the details:

On Saturday, July 25th, 2020, from 7:00 – 10:00 PM MT, The Underground Music Showcase (UMS), Denver’s largest music festival, returns with an irreverent virtual music festival, variety show, and retro telethon. In partnership with the Colorado Music Relief Fund, the digital version of the 20thedition of UMS promises to capture the energy and rock ‘n’ roll spirit of the festival while raising relief funds to support Colorado musicians and music industry professionals affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hosted by acclaimed Colorado comedians Christie Buchele and Sam Tallent, UMS 2020 combines live performances broadcast from iconic UMS venue Hi-Dive, exclusive UMS music video premieres shot from Denver’s Broadway venues, a throwback telethon with prize giveaways, and party supplies delivered to viewers — ensuring that ‘UMSomething’ honors the raucous traditions that UMS fans have cultivated over the festivals’ famed 20 years in Denver.  The livestream will be hosted at www.undergroundmusicshowcase.com on Saturday, July 25th from 7:00 – 10:00 PM MT and the full UMS livestream lineup will be announced soon.

“When we decided that we couldn’t host UMS as normal, we knew we still had to do something for Broadway and our musicians,” states Casey Berry, owner of Two Parts and UMS producer. “This festival is so much more than just a wild weekend of live music for Denver. It’s a big moment for musicians, venues, bars and restaurants, and the back-of-house staff that make it possible each year. All these groups are hurting right now, so we wanted to give fundraising a shot and raise money for our community the only way UMS knows how – in a weird, gritty fundraiser variety show, live from Broadway. We’re producing a streamed broadcast that marries the safety of a digital experience with the fun of the real thing, including interactive elements, merchandise, delivered-to-your-door party packs, and more!”

Colorado Music Relief Fund founder Chris Tetzeli states, “UMS partnering with Colorado Music Relief Fund will benefit a ton of people in the Colorado music ecosystem who have lost work due to Covid-19. We are thrilled to see Two Parts and UMS reach out to help the music community.”

UMS has partnered with The Colorado Music Relief Fund to help raise money for its community affected by COVID-19. With the live music industry indefinitely on hold, this support is essential. The Colorado Music Relief Fund was created to support all of those who help bring music to our lives — host of talented and dedicated individuals, crews, and businesses working on stage and behind the scenes.
